Original page plate advertisement of renowned French publication “La Vie Parisienne”. Published between 1863 and 1970 with heavy influences of the Art Deco movement. Having been strongly advised to avoid the publication, It became increasingly popular with American soldiers during the war.

 

llustrated by French artist Chéri Hérouard (1881–1961) with 45 years of work with LVP - Herouard, under the pseudonym of Herric, was renowned for his erotic and sadomasochistic creations which included the Karma Sutra.

 

Edition 6 - 10th February 1923. captioned "madness is sick? oh she has some new hobby!" Jester attire on a woman with a delicately flailed wrist and a confused doctor.
